Debonnet Vineyards - is now the largest estate winery in Ohio, boasting over 175 acres of vines. The central location, of the vineyard in the Grand River Valley wine region, benefits from a climate moderated by the thermal effects of eastern Lake Erie. The Debonnet family commitment to excellence begins in the vineyards and is reflected in the quality of their premium Debonnet Vineyards varietals and the original Chalet Debonnet blends. It is also the first Ohio winery to open up a micro-brewery.
Ashtabula County’s Covered Bridges - As you pass through one of Ohio’s historic covered bridges, the past and present collide. Ashtabula County is considered the covered bridge capital of the state and is home to 19 of these unique structures. Some look upon these engineering feats and appreciate the craftsmanship and ingenuity of the builders. Others are in awe of the simple beauty of the historic structure as part of the landscape: magical and colorful crossings set against the area’s rolling hills and vineyards. Covered bridges offer a one-of-a-kind look at a bygone era. We will visit some of the many the County has to offer.
