DAY 1 MIAMI: Welcome drink and briefing with Globus Group Leader and fellow program participants.
DAY 2 MIAMI-HAVANA: Revolution Square, Museum of the Revolution.
DAY 3 HAVANA: Discuss Havana’s unique buildings with a local architect, Old Havana, interact with members of the Santo Angel neighborhood, choir performance and discussion with members of the Cuban Institute of Music.
DAY 4 HAVANA, EXCURSION TO PINAR DEL RIO: Meet tobacco and organic farmers and learn about the process of growing and drying tobacco.
DAY 5 HAVANA, EXCURSION TO HEMINGWAY’S FARM: Meet the children of Cuba at a community daycare center, Finica Vigia (Hemingway’s home), workshop at Casa de Africa, Fortress de San Carlos.
DAY 6 HAVANA: Discussion with the students at the University of Havana, Colon Cemetery, lunch and tour at Hotel Nacional de Cuba, Salvador’s Alley, performance and discussion with jazz musicians from Cuban Institute of Music.
DAY 7 HAVANA, EXCURSION TO MATANZAS: Lunch and visit to Casa Dupont, Triolet Pharmacy, discussion with workers at a traditional print and binding shop, classical concert, paladar dinner and discussion with the owner.
DAY 8 HAVANA: Discussion at the Literacy Museum, visit to artist José Fuster’s studio & neighborhood, hands-on learning experience at a silk screening studio, interaction with the artists at the Feria de Artesania, meet members of the Old Styler Car Club and take a ride in Old Styler car.
DAY 9 HAVANA-MIAMI: After breakfast, depart for the airport and your return flight to Miami.

DAY 3 CAMAGÜEY, EXCURSION TO KING RANCH: Discussion with dancers at the Camagüey Ballet Company, spend time at King Ranch and interact with local cowboys and village residents, program at Casanova Pottery Studio, paladar dinner and discussion with the owner, meet with the American Car Association Owners and enjoy a ride in an Old Styler car.
DAY 4 CAMAGÜEY-TRINIDAD: Visit the Valley of the Sugar Mills and meet with the local community, visit historic city center, discussion at library, performance and interaction with musicians at Palenque de los Congos Reales.
DAY 5 TRINIDAD, EXCURSION TO CIENFUEGOS: City orientation, discussion with local artists and studio visit, interact with tobacco rollers at a cigar factory, dance lesson.
DAY 6 TRINIDAD-BAY OF PIGS-HAVANA: Visit Bay of Pigs Museum, interact with local family over lunch, discussion with local naturalist, performance and discussion with jazz musicians from Cuban Institute of Music, dinner and tour at Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
DAY 7 HAVANA: Discuss Havana’s unique buildings with a local architect, Old Havana, interact with members of the Santo Angel neighborhood, interaction with the artists at the Feria de Artesania, Revolution Square, Colon Cemetery, Fortress de San Carlos.
DAY 8 HAVANA: Finica Vigia (Hemingway’s home), meet the children of Cuba at a community daycare center, lunch and discussion at organic urban farm, workshop at Casa de Africa, choir performance and discussion with members of the Cuban Institute of Music, discussion with a Cuban baseball player.
DAY 9 HAVANA-MIAMI: After breakfast, depart for the airport and your return flight to Miami.
Due to the special requirements to visit Cuba, participants will be required to sign an affidavit confirming that they are traveling under a People-to-People license and are aware of the travel rules. Participants are also required to return a copy of their passport photo page, complete a visa application form and travel reservation form, and return to Globus within 7 days of making a reservation.
