Located in the heart of the Allegheny River Valley, Franklin is a picturesque town with a deep historical background, which makes it a perfect destination for a fall festival. Upon arriving in Franklin for Applefest, you’ll immediately feel the energy of the festival. The town’s historic district is transformed into a bustling hub of activity, with vendors, musicians, and festival-goers filling the streets. The crisp fall air, filled with the scent of fresh apples, caramel, cider, and baked goods, makes it an inviting atmosphere. A few of the Festival highlights are apple themed foods, from apple pies, apple fritters to apple butter and Carmel apples there’s no shortage of ways to indulge your taste buds. Crafts and Artisans: The festival boasts a large number of craft booths, showcasing everything from handmade jewelry and pottery to fall decorations and woodworking. It’s the perfect place to pick up unique gifts and local art. Music and Entertainment: Live bands and local musicians perform throughout the weekend, setting the mood with everything from folk and bluegrass to rock and country. The town's streets are filled with the sounds of music and laughter.
