Brazilian Festival - Brazilian Day in New York is a festival and live outdoor concert celebrating Brazil's Independence
Day. The event has been around for 29 years in New York, always happening on 46th Street, also known as Little Brazil, on
the Sunday before Labor Day in the USA. Currently, the party occupies 25 blocks. The event became a huge success,
continuing through the years, attracting a growing crowd, coming from many parts of the United States and other countries.
In 2012, according to the Police Department of New York (NYPD), about 1.5 million people attended the Brazilian Day,
filling an area of 25 blocks throughout the day. Thus, the Brazilian Day has consolidated itself as one of the greatest
popular events in New York and the largest Brazilian event outside Brazil.
