Back Roads Tour

Heini’s Cheese Chalet - John (Hans) Dauwaulder trained as a master cheese-maker in Switzerland and came to the States in the 1920's. The Dauwalder family has partnered with local farmers to produce their cheese and that commitment remains strong. Today up to twelve tons of cheese can be made in a day: we make over 25 varieties of cheese averaging 50,000 pounds of cheese a week and offer free samples of over 50 varieties of cheese, Meat, Jams, and Fudge daily.

Kauffman Country Bakery- The sense of community blends with the warm smells of homemade goods inviting everyone to linger in the cafe and aisles.
Freshly made items lining the shelves and counter such as jams, jellies, spreads, and a few bulk food items that have not been baked in house are sourced locally as are most of the ingredients.

Coblentz Chocolate Factory- Something for everyone at Coblentz Chocolates. Buckeyes, creamfills, truffles and snappers—whatever type of chocolate you prefer, you’re sure to find.  The moment you step onto the hardwood floors, you’ll see that Coblentz Chocolates is an old-fashioned candy store. The counter is stocked with every kind of homemade chocolate you can imagine. Watch as it’s made and hand-dipped from the special viewing gallery. The chocolates, made with creamy milk chocolate, rich dark chocolate and smooth white chocolate are filled with ingredients like fresh butter and roasted nuts.

Swiss Heritage Winery – Han’s Tasting room - Relax and enjoy a taste of the Spring Sangriq before heading home.
