Penn’s Caves - Centuries ago, the Seneca Indians discovered this natural landmark in the Valley of Karoondinha (Penn’s Valley). The famous legend of the Indian maiden, Nita-nee and her French trapper lover, Malachi Boyer, has been told around campfires for generations. Forbidden to marry because of an Indian custom, they ran away and were captured, and Malachi was thrown into Penn’s Cave to die. Local history also tells of Indians and early explorers using the dry rooms for shelter. In 1885, Penn’s Cave opened as a commercial show cavern, and the Penn’s Cave Hotel was built. In 1976, Penn’s Cave and the Penn’s Cave House were placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
World of Little League - The mission of the World of Little League is to inform and educate people about the history, service, goals and initiatives of Little League Baseball and Softball. The focus of the museum shifted from simply telling the story of Little League’s past to a more dynamic presentation of how Little League has intertwined with U.S. and world history, and even helped to shape history. The museum explains how Little League became the world’s leader not only in the number of participants, but in sports safety as well.
Bowman Field - One of baseball's oldest and most distinguished ballparks is Williamsport's own BB&T Ballpark. The origins of BB&T Ballpark (formerly Bowman Field) occurred at a meeting in the summer of 1924. It has been the one enduring feature during the years of Williamsport's professional baseball experience, providing Williamsport fans many thrills, disappointments and excitement.
PA Grand Canyon - Often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania and the Pine Creek Gorge, the PA Canyon area stretches for over 45 miles with depths of nearly 1500 feet. Its dynamic topography creates many scenic wonders, including steep canyon walls and waterfalls. It is part of the Tioga State Forest, beginning just south of Ansonia, PA, near Wellsboro. One of the most popular attractions to the canyon is the Pine Creek Rail Trail, a converted railroad bed that travels along Pine Creek Gorge at the floor of the canyon.
Leonard Harrison State Park Overlook - On the east rim of the Pine Creek Gorge (also known as the PA Grand Canyon), enjoy the most famous scenic views of the canyon.
